Goondiwindi

The Hell of the West is Australia’s toughest and most iconic challenges. Not for the faint hearted, the event is held in the murky waters of the Macintyre River, then heads out along the highway for an 80km ride and 20km run in the blazing heat of a Gundi summer. Go on, give it hell!

  • Earn participation points (7-17) and championship points (18+)
  • Triathlon Australia Age Group ITU World Championship Qualifying Race – Long Distance

How to earn points

To earn points in the Nissan State Series you need to race in the correct event for your age group. Use the tabs to find out which event to enter for your age group at Hell of the West.

Ages 7-9 years (as at 31 December 2018)

Event: Hell Kids

Points: Participation

Distance: 50m swim / 2.5km bike / 500m run

Ages 10-11 years (as at 31 December 2018)

Event: Hell Kids

Points: Participation

Distance: 100m swim / 5km bike / 1km run

Ages 12-17 years (as at 31 December 2018)

Event: Firestarter Triathlon

Points: Series

Distance: 200m swim / 7.5km bike / 2km run

Ages 18 + years (as at 31 December 2018)

Event: Long Course

Points: Championship

Distance: 2km swim / 80km bike / 20km run
