Hervey Bay

The Hog’s Breath Cafe Hervey Bay 100 will take place along the beautiful foreshore of the protected waters of Hervey Bay and features ocean front racing. This weekend event incorporates Super Saturday, which will add the opportunity for juniors to contribute points to their club and get their name on the Nissan State Series leader board.

  • Earn participation points (7-19) and series points (18+)
  • Earn points towards the Nissan Club Championships or Scody Club Championships – North Queensland (depending on club geographical location)
  • Wide Bay School Triathlon Team Selection Trials
  • Please note the age groups are slightly different to the rest of the Series to reflect the secondary school age categories applicable to Queensland School Sport.

How to earn points

To earn points in the Nissan State Series you need to race in the correct event for your age group. Use the tabs to find out which event to enter for your age group at the Hervey Bay 100.

Ages 7-10 years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Mini Aquathlon

Points: Participation

Distance: 500m run / 50m swim / 500m run

Ages 11-12 years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Junior Aquathlon

Points: Participation

Distance: 1km run / 200m swim / 1km run

Ages 13-14 years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Junior Triathlon

Points: Participation

Distance: 400m swim / 12km bike / 3km run

Ages 15-16 years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Intermediate Triathlon

Points: Participation

Distance: 600m swim / 16km bike / 4km run

Ages 17-19 years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Senior Triathlon

Points: Participation

Distance: 600m swim / 16km bike / 4km run

Ages 18 + years (as at 31 December 2017)

Event: Long Course

Points: Series

Distance: 2km swim / 80km bike / 18km run
